This research addresses the theme of independence in relation to daily life activities in children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The study aimed to elaborate and present the profile of a group of children with ASD in relation to the level of independence in daily life activities (ADL). Five children underwent an assessment using a specific instrument. The activities were performed as spontaneously as possible for data reliability and parents and guardians of children with ASD were interviewed as well as their teachers, aiming at those who had the greatest contact with it in their ADL. The results indicated two children were identified as independent, two semi-independent and one dependent. The results identified different profiles characterized by the influence of Spectrum symptoms and the environment in their development. The most affected area was the clothing understanding that the influence of the family is of extreme necessity in the development. Finally, the intention is to bring the profile of the children back to the professionals, parents and caregivers, in order to contribute to the collaborative work and future interventions, promoting improvement on both sides.
