Abstract

This article aims to discuss one of the most striking features of Marxist theory: the concept of  istorical materialism. In times of counter-intellectualism and exacerbated irrationalism, the philosopher György Lukács is extremely necessary and current in our present time. We will cover how Lukács understands and deepens the method proposed by Karl Marx through his refinement and theoretical development, always seeking a clear trajectory between his works History and Class Consciousness and his masterpiece Towards an ontology of social being.
