Pedagogic knowledge in higher education of Accounting Sciences at The Federal University of Pará

This article has aimed at researching the accounting science pedagogical knowledge in the higher education at Federal University of Para and among many kinds of approach possibilities about this issue; we highlighted the accounting science bachelor curriculum organization, the educator profile to work in higher education, the bachelor educator’s difficulties in classroom practices and the pedagogical knowledge needed for teaching in higher education. The study population consisted of six professors of twenty who have taught in accounting sciences at Federal University of Para. They answered fourteen questions collected through interview; the data revealed that the accounting science students are not able to teach and the absence of pedagogical basic knowledge is the responders’ biggest concern by the current scenario of higher education teaching. It was concluded that for the advancement of the teaching-learning process of the course studied, it is necessary to develop the curriculum structure which refers to the pedagogical subjects.
