Analyses of the Covid-19 Pandemic and the actions of the municipality of Camboriú – SC

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic, which began in China and quickly spread across the world, was responsible not only for countless deaths, but also for effects on the world economy and environment. In Brazil, both federal and local approaches took place, which contributed to reducing the harmful effects of the pandemic. Therefore, the present work attempted to understand the global, national and local effects of the pandemic in the municipality of Camboriú/SC, discussing the policies performed there and their outcomes. The study has been divided in 3 sections, starting at a global level and ending with a local discussion. In the methodological field, the inductive method was applied, together with a bibliographical assessment. In the final considerations, the conclusion was that the municipality of Camboriú/SC had adopted considerable measures in order to learn from global and national processes, which helped to attenuate problems in the domestic level.
