The objectives of this article are the need for institutional improvement of the Municipality of Marília in compliance with the Transparency Law, specifically in the presentation of municipal debt; clarify how the debt evolved to almost R$ 700 million between 2013 and 2020; and refute "clarification note" that seeks to hide the reality about the municipal debt aiming to free the administrations from liability for administrative improbity Vinicius Camarinha (2013-2016) and Daniel Alonso (2017-2020).
