Editorial Team

Editorial Team

The Editorial Team of the RIPPMar journal is made up of the following structure:

  • Responsible Editor.
  • Assistant Editors.
  • Executive Editor.
  • Editorial Board.
  • Scientific Council.

The Responsible Editor, the Assistant Editors, the Editorial Board and the Scientific Board have a term of office of 2 (two) years, and may be reappointed for the same period at the end of the term. The Executive Editor has permanent management.

Editorial Team Responsibilities

  • Analyze submitted documents in relation to the focus and scope of the journal.
  • Analyze the documents submitted in relation to compliance with the journal's Editorial Policy.
  • Strive for the application of the journal’s Editorial Policy.
  • Instruct authors and evaluators about the editorial flow, the evaluation process and publication.
  • Ensure that the evaluation process of documents submitted to the journal is fair, impartial and confidential, except in the case of preprints.
  • Keep the bank of ad hoc evaluators updated.
  • Respond to questions related to submissions in the evaluation process, regarding editorial misconduct, following the guidelines of the Editorial Policy.
  • Publish, when necessary, corrections, clarifications, retractions and errata.
  • Ensure the maintenance of good editorial practices.
  • Propose improvements to the journal’s Editorial Policy.

 

Editorial Board

The Editorial Board of the journal RIPPMar exercises a deliberative function and is made up of members of the IPPMar Deliberative Board.

Editorial Board Responsibilities

  • Propose improvements to the journal’s Editorial Policy.
  • Propose new researchers to join the pool of ad hoc evaluators.
  • Support the Editorial Team in the editorial process.
  • Support the Editorial Team on editorial decisions that do not allow scientific misconduct by authors and evaluators.
  • Support the Editorial Team to ensure good editorial practices.
  • Act as the last resort regarding the acceptance of a scientific document submitted for publication, in case of divergence of opinions issued by ad hoc evaluators.

 

Scientific Council

The Scientific Council of the journal RIPPMar is made up of national and international researchers, all with a doctorate degree, responsible for contributing to the journal's editors. The members of the Scientific Council will be invited by the Editorial Board, in accordance with academic-scientific recognition parameters, approved by the IPPMAR Deliberative Council.

Scientific Council Responsibilities

The Scientific Council of the journal RIPPMar exercises an advisory role and is responsible for:

  • Propose improvements to the journal’s Editorial Policy.
  • Propose new researchers to join the pool of ad hoc evaluators.
  • Support the Editorial Team in the editorial process.
  • Support the Editorial Team on editorial decisions that do not allow scientific misconduct by authors and evaluators.
  • Support the Editorial Team to ensure good editorial practices.
