The review presents the book wrote by Renato Feder, current secretary of education for the state of São Paulo, showing that the pillars brought by the businessman are not only limited, but also problematic, transforming education into a commodity, a neoliberal project based on results. Published in 2023, the book aims to bring the pillars that the businessman considers fundamental for an educational management focused on results that, according to him, are pillars of the future. It is a clear example of business policy in education, linked to results-based management and disconnected from readings in the educational area. Part of his management in Paraná, now brought to São Paulo, was to quantitatively measure, through a Business Intelligence panel (BI platform) the frequency, supposed learning and access to the platforms imposed by his team. What the author actually presents is a marketing logic of results that may have some merit in the short term and only shows that quantitative measures (something very questionable) but does not support the human and critical education desired for those who, in fact, understand education. The book promotes empty reflections and analogies that form false syllogisms, proving that the secretary as a (pseudo) education enthusiast is nothing more than a messianic, an authoritarian antagonist, whose lessons should not be part of an educational library.
