In this study we analyze the implementation of the quotas policy for people with disabilities in the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The goals was to identify the profile of students who enrolled through the quota system, making an analysis of characteristics such as the type of disability, chosen area of study, age, gender, among others aspects. The basis for conducting this research was the local understanding of the establishment of Public Policies. Among the identified results, it was possible to perceive that the students are formed by the majority of men, with physical disability, and most chose courses in the health area. The results, broadly speaking, grounded the conclusion about the need to broaden the discussions and reflections about the accessibility demands that federal institutions may need in the coming years.
