Abstract

In this short paper we present an investigation entitled “Social Representations of Deaf Students on the Activity of Educational Interpreter in College Education”, which analyzes the social representations of deaf students during the activity of educational interpreter, seeking the implications of these representations in the process of learning and educational inclusion of deaf students. This research is based on the theory of social representations of Moscovici. The main goal of this work is identify the theoretical tensions about the role of educational interpreter in terms of being either technique or pedagogical function. This work is also a bibliographical research, based on authors such as Bakhtin (1992, 1997), Lacerda (2007), Lima (2006), Freire (2005), among others.

  • Waldma Maíra Menezes de Oliveira, Universidade Federal do Pará - UEPA
    Waldma Maíra Menezes de Oliveira possui Mestrado em Educação pela Universidade do Estado do Pará (2015), Especialização em Língua Brasileira de Sinais pela Faculdade Montenegro (2012) e Licenciatura em Pedagogia pela Universidade do Estado do Pará (2011). Apresenta formação complementar em Técnicas de interpretação em Libras pela Associação de tradutores e Intérpretes do Pará (ASTILP) e certificação de instrutora de Libras pelo PROLIBRAS/MEC (2010). Pesquisadora do Núcleo de Educação Popular (NEP) da UEPA, vinculada a linha Educação Inclusiva e Diversidade, e colaboradora do Observatório Nacional de Educação Especial (ONEESP) coordenado pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar). Atualmente é professora de Libras na Universidade Federal do Pará no Campus Universitário do Baixo Tocantins/ Cametá, Coordena o Grupo de Estudos Surdos na Amazônia Tocantina - GESAT, o Coral de Libras- Mãos que Falam da UFPA/CAMETÁ, a Pós -graduação Lato Sensu em Educação Inclusiva no Campo e a Divisão de Inclusão Educacional - DIE. Atua na área da Educação, Educação Inclusiva, com ênfase na Surdez. Em seu currículo Lattes os termos mais frequentes na contextualização da produção cientifica, tecnológica e artístico- cultural são: Educação,Representações Sociais, Educação de Jovens e Adultos. educação inclusiva,educação de surdos, Língua Brasileira de Sinais, bilinguismo, Interprete de Libras, Adaptações Metodológicas e Curriculares.
