In this short paper we present an investigation entitled “Social Representations of Deaf Students on the Activity of Educational Interpreter in College Education”, which analyzes the social representations of deaf students during the activity of educational interpreter, seeking the implications of these representations in the process of learning and educational inclusion of deaf students. This research is based on the theory of social representations of Moscovici. The main goal of this work is identify the theoretical tensions about the role of educational interpreter in terms of being either technique or pedagogical function. This work is also a bibliographical research, based on authors such as Bakhtin (1992, 1997), Lacerda (2007), Lima (2006), Freire (2005), among others.
