Social construction of reality from virtual pages social networks policies

Abstract

This article is based on two issues related to the present day, the virtuality of social relations and police violence, made clear by data from homicides committed by government forces of public security. In this way this article aims to understand the social construction of the reality of the two pages on the Facebook site on the police issue with the highest indexes of general interactions in the network. For this purpose, the approach of symbolic interactionism, mainly explained by the concepts of society as objective and subjective reality, developed by sociologists Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann was used as theoretical support. Among the results, the research proposes to understand how the construction of reality occurs through the virtuality of the analyzed pages and why ideals of a conservative nature are diffused and what their impact on these pages is.
