Abstract

In this way, the Dossier Section is structured based on the following works: a) Interview carried out with Everton Vieira Vargas, Ambassador of Brazil to Argentina; b) Promises of South-South cooperation: reflections on the report “Bridges over the Atlantic”, by André Luiz Zanão Tosta; c) The role of defense coalitions in the direction of Brazilian foreign trade policy: from the FTAA negotiations to the Mercosur-European Union association agreement, by Ricardo Dias da Silva. In the Miscellaneous Section, the published articles cover various themes and reflections on different social phenomena in the Human Sciences. In this way, this section is structured based on the following works: a) The principles of precaution and the polluter pays as instruments of legal effectiveness in combating pollution of the marine environment, by Rúbia Martins; b) Americanism and Fordism: the passive revolution in the United States, by Felipe Alexandre Silva de Souza; c) The Brazilian state and outsourcing, by Yuri Rodrigues da Cunha; d) Qualification of the workforce and public policy in Brazil: conceptual progress and regression, by Solange de Cassia Inforzato de Souza; e) Language and limit in Wittgenstein: a conditional episteme and possibilities as opening, by Wellington Amâncio da Silva. The Review Section features Lamia Saadi Tosi's comments on Marc Augé's book No Places: Introduction to an Anthropology of Supermodernity. In the Special Section, we present three articles with the theme of education. They are: a) Training and teaching in the Military Police: political concepts and subordination; pedagogical affiliations and memberships, by Antonio Alberto Brunetta; b) Notes on rural settlements in agrarian reform and their role in the qualification, training and education of settlers, by Marcos Cassin & Mírian Helena Goldschmidt; c) From the debate between Florestan and Guerreiros Ramos to the analysis of sociology compendia from the 1930s: some notes and possible recontextualizations, by Marcelo Augusto Totti & Eder Fernando dos Santos.
