Vladimir Maiakóvski's first theater play, called Vladimir Maiakóvsky: a tragedy, written in 1913, was elaborated by using an abstract symbolism. The metaphor of the characters, the metonymy in the poetry and the displacement of the main focus of the play from the subject's action towards the object contributed to the production of scenic images of alienation. The main procedure used by the author is allegory.
