This review consists of an analytical and contextual work on Guy Standing's most recent publication “The Precariat: the new dangerous class”, published in 2011. Guy Standing has a vast CV, was elected in 2009 as Permanent Professor at the Academy of Social Sciences from UK; he is Professor of Studies and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London; He also worked from 1999 to 2006 in the Socioeconomic Security Program of the International Labor Organization (ILO).
