Abstract

Review of the documentary Dois Riachões, cacau e liberdade, which deals with how a settlement in southern Bahia conquered land, financial independence, and food sovereignty through land reform and the support of institutions.

Author Biography

    Journalist and filmmaker. She has been working with gastronomy since 2004. She spent 14 years in agencies dedicated mainly to press relations - one of them his own, Coentro Comunica. Today he works autonomously on several fronts, especially with the production of content for social networks, in addition to research and reporting, always with a focus on food culture. She also directs and scripts mini-documentaries about Brazilian ingredients, such as pine nuts, cacao, and Guarani corn. She is co-author of the book "Ceviche, from the Pacific to the World," published by Editora Senac in 2013. As a food activist, she was responsible for Slow Food Brazil's communications for five years, when she conceived and publicized numerous events to promote endangered native ingredients.
