Prince Metaverse, Instrumental Reason, EmancipationAbstract
The work in question presented the images and representations constructed by Goethe's Faustian questions, in order to reflect on the actuality of Antonio Gramsci's (1891-1937) social theory, particularly with regard to the conceptual articulations of the Modern Prince, Hegemony and Intellectuals. Thus, the representation of the Metaverse Prince is presented, in a dialogue with Octavio Ianni (1926-2004), to articulate Gramsci's questions to the debate on the theory of modernity and reified processes, from which technique and science are taken from the field. of emancipation and directed to the construction of a complex bourgeois ideology. In this sense, the mediation constructed by Benjamin is presented, in which The Prince presents himself as a representation of Faustian and Promethean melancholy, that is, as a symbol and representation of modern history (p.165, 1984).
