In the context of cultural diversity, the development of ecological civilization education in China is a long-term systematic project that requires all people's participation. The development of ecological civilization education in China can generally be carried out at three levels: the social, the national, and the educational. This paper argues that the whole society is the soil for developing ecological civilization education in China, the government is the external guarantee for developing ecological civilization education in China, and schools are the main battlefield for developing ecological civilization education in China. The government mainly relies on schools to achieve the goal of ecological civilization education. Therefore, this paper will focus on the school level to discuss the countermeasures for the development of ecological civilization education in China in the present day of cultural diversity and will be supported by case studies at the end of the paper.
