This essay aims to bring to readers aspects of the life and work of artist Maria da Conceição de Souza Cahú, the information contained herein was collected from interviews with family members and co-workers, bibliographical research, and survey of the works of the artist. The text is divided into three parts, starting from her life trajectory and then highlighting the multifaceted character of the artist and later her feminist work through some of her works published in the Brazilian press.
