This paper aims to present some notes for an analysis of Lukacs contributions to the theme of racism. Life and work are reconstituted in order to draw a connection between the theoretical basis and the debate about racism .The developments of the author's work in Brazil is debated, and how Brazilian authors based on Lukasian theses debated racism. It is pointed out that certain approaches by Brazilian authors of Lukasian orientation on the theme of racism are not based on the theoretical contributions of the author, therefore, they make them from a peculiar path taken by Brazilian Marxism
