Abstract

This essay reflects on the role of technoscience in the midst of the emergence of economic, social and health crises.

Author Biography

  • Emerson Freire, CEETEPS
    730/5000       Emerson Freire holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the State University of Campinas and in Philosophy from the Université de Paris 1 - Panthéon Sorbonne - France, and completed his master's degree in Scientific and Technological Policy from the State University of Campinas in 2002. Conducted post-doctoral research at the Department of Sociology at Unicamp between 2014 and 2016. He won the Rumos Pesquisa Award from the Itaú Cultural Institute in the national selection, a prize destined to the promotion of researchers in art media. He is currently a professor and researcher at the Master in Professional Education at the Paula Souza State Center for Technological Education (CEETEPS) and at Fatec Jundiaí, where he coordinates the Center for Technology and Society Studies (NETS).
