Author Guidelines

The Fim do Mundo Journal publishes unpublished and original articles, in Portuguese, English or Spanish, with the following guidelines:

  1. Articles must be submitted without any identification of the authors. Identified works will be rejected.
  2. Authors must send a supplementary document with the identified text, containing the name of the authors and their identification as they wish to be published.
  3. Articles must be between 12 and 20 pages and reviews 3 and 5 pages, including bibliographic references and footnotes.
  4. Articles must contain an resumo (in Portuguese), resumen (in Spanish) and abstract (in English) that do not exceed 150 words each, with an indication of three keywords / palabras clave / keywords.
  5. In the case of an article, the title and subtitle (if any) must be presented in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
  6. Articles and abstracts must be sent in a text file in standard format for PC, Times New Roman font, size 12, spacing 1.5. Use bold and capital letters for the main title, bold and lower case for the subtitle, bold and capital letters for the subtitles of the sections. For emphasis or highlighting, within the text, use only italics. For citations with more than three lines, use Times New Roman font, size 11, single spacing and indentation of 4 cm to the left.
  7. Mentions to authors, throughout the text, must be subordinated to the form (Author, date) or (Author, date, p.). Different titles by the same author, published in the same year, must be distinguished by adding a letter after the date.
  8. The Bibliographic References must contain exclusively the authors and texts cited in the work and be presented at the end of the text, in alphabetical order, following the updated norms of ABNT.
  9. Footnotes should be numbered, presented in Times New Roman font, size 10 and single-spaced.
  10. The signed texts are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and, therefore, their copyright is preserved. The right of publication (copyright) is transferred to the Journal as soon as the manuscript is accepted for publication.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The contribution is original and unpublished, and is not being evaluated for publication by another journal; otherwise, it must be justified in "Comments to the editor".
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format.
  • URLs for referrals have been provided when possible.
  • Figures and tables are inserted in the text, not at the end of the document in the form of attachments.
  • The text follows the style standards and bibliographic requirements described in the Guidelines for Authors.
