The objective of this study was to highlight the mediation of the reading realized by Márcia Evelin, through musical composition, and to what extent her production reveals cultural traits. As for the methodology, this research is characterized as descriptive, having as a method the documental research, associated with the case study, investigating the production and the mediating role of Márcia Evelin. Among the results, it was possible to verify the need for the reading mediator to align his reading training to professional practice, contributing to a broad perception of the needs and expectations of the readers, and this attitude is associated with the adoption of different informational devices that expand the repertoire of both the mediator and the reader. It is concluded that music, when adopted in the mediating action, enhances the evocation of characteristic and demarcating elements of its producers and provides a favorable terrain for the active participation of readers.
