Abstract

Only in Brazil there are 253 indigenous peoples who, despite being harassed by the violent imposition of the capital, still guide their actions according to their indigenous sociability. Although increasingly pressured to abandon their way of life, as Darcy Ribeiro would say, it is not surprising that so many indigenous died due to the effectiveness of the weapons, viruses and devices put on the scene by the colonists of yesterday and today, but rather the incredible survival of some people to the present day. Even today, in the acute structural crisis of the capital, these peoples continue to resist. In this long process of resistance, can the indigenous peoples leverage historical possibilities for overcoming the capital?
