This article aims to analyze the differences and similarities in the political action of the dominant classes in the soybean complex, in Brazil and Argentina, as well as the relationship established between this productive branch and the governments of Jair Bolsonaro and Alberto Fernández. For the Argentine case, we support the hypothesis that unified political action predominated within it in opposition to the interventionist and statist measures adopted by Alberto Fernández's government, thus contributing to the resumption of the logic of historical conflicts with Peronism. As for the Brazilian case, we operate with the hypothesis that the political behavior of the sectors located inside and outside the gate of the soybean complex oscillated between unity and division in the face of Jair Bolsonaro's government, due to the authoritarian stance adopted by him in its speeches and actions and the content of its government policy linked to the environment, the COVI-19 and exports.
