Especulação filosófica na música tradicional chinesa

A civilização chinesa sempre foi conhecida como a civilização dos rituais e da música, com a música desempenhando um papel significativo ao longo das dinastias. O desenvolvimento da música tradicional chinesa não pode ser separado da injeção de diversas ideias filosóficas e de consciência social. Quer se trate do sistema de música ritual da Dinastia Zhou, das Cem Escolas de Pensamento durante o período dos Reinos Combatentes, das discussões metafísicas das Dinastias Wei e Jin ou da filosofia budista das Dinastias Han e Tang, cada época desempenhou um importante papel catalisador na formação da teoria estética da música tradicional chinesa. Este artigo resume o processo histórico de desenvolvimento da cultura musical tradicional chinesa. Analisa também o processo de construção da filosofia estética da música tradicional chinesa sob a perspectiva das três grandes escolas filosóficas: o confucionismo, o budismo e o taoísmo. Estas três escolas tiveram o impacto mais profundo na música tradicional chinesa.
