This is a reply to Georg Lohmann’s paper “A philosophy of history made sober”. In this reply the author justifies that he seeks to link a demanding theory of social evolution with the one of fallible, however not defeatist, consciousness, of a Kantian ethos that obliges us to contribute in some way to the betterment of the world.Published
