Dissociação e reimaginação: a publicidade da lei do casamento chinesa e da narrativa do divórcio na década de 1950

Após a promulgação da Lei do Casamento da República Popular da China em 1950, as obras literárias geradas a partir das exigências da publicidade tiveram implicações políticas distintas e significado disciplinar. Dado que a questão do divórcio engloba tanto a lógica dos “direitos livres” como a sensibilidade da desordem social, a narrativa do “divórcio” durante este período está, em certa medida, situada entre a política e a realidade. Por um lado, as obras literárias devem defender positivamente o conceito legal de “liberdade do divórcio”, enquanto, por outro lado, também devem passar por um processamento narrativo delicadamente matizado para contornar sensibilidades. Consequentemente, a representação das narrativas de divórcio é caracterizada pela ambiguidade e pelo capricho. No entanto, a literatura conseguiu, até certo ponto, colmatar o fosso entre a lei e a realidade, ao reimaginar as dificuldades genuínas desencadeadas pelo divórcio.
