uma experiência pedagógica com traduções na área de arquivologia

Nas primeiras décadas do século XXI constata-se um desenvolvimento significativo da Arquivologia enquanto disciplina científica em várias partes do mundo, com a consequente, e crescente, produção e divulgação de pesquisas e conhecimentos científicos. No entanto, ainda que a rede mundial de computadores e a internet contribuam para a comunicação, disseminação, venda e/ou acesso gratuito a essas publicações em diferentes formatos (impressos ou digitais) há, ainda, um grave empecilho para a absorção da literatura arquivística produzida em âmbito mundial: a barreira da língua. Afora a dificuldade de compreensão de textos publicados em outras línguas, observa-se também a falta de consenso terminológico na área e variações jurídicas, administrativas e culturais dos países que dificultam o diálogo entre os profissionais e o próprio ensino e pesquisa da disciplina científica. Ciente dessas dificuldades, nosso grupo de pesquisa desenvolveu uma experiência pedagógica inusitada e inovadora, relatada neste artigo, que contribui de alguma forma para dirimir dificuldades vivenciadas no cotidiano de estudantes, docentes e profissionais que atuam na área de arquivos e da Arquivologia.
