Abstract

Places of memory are spaces designed for the maintenance and preservation of the information that is the object of that place. A digital place of memory, besides preserving it, provides the opportunity to access it from anywhere, at any time. The Information Science helps these places in the organization, storage, retrieval, transmission and use of information, identifying it as an interdisciplinary area. The objective of this research was to identify the scientific production around the object place of memory and its relation with the Information Science, motivated mainly by the hypothesis of a low production around the subject even with a theoretical consistency of the Information Science and its currents of thought. To reach the objective, searches were made by means of word combination searches, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, in the bases: BRAPCI, SCOPUS, SciELO and BDTD, having as requirement the full text. From the results found, 24 journal articles and 14 master's degree dissertations and three doctoral theses were selected. The reading of the selected articles led us to conclude that there is the concern of the authors with the treatment given to the information, either with its guard, preservation or dissemination; the interdisciplinarity with areas such as memory; and how much the information technologies can contribute to the creation of digital spaces of memory for beyond preserve it, also the information contained in the documents.

    Possui graduação em Biblioteconomia pela Claretiano (2020) e graduação em Administração pelo Centro Universitário de Brusque - UNIFEBE (2015). Atualmente é bibliotecária no Centro Universitário de Brusque. Atualmente é presidente do Comitê de Memória e Patrimônio Cultural da UNIFEBE e membro da Comissão de Acervos do Museu Casa de Brusque.  Possui mestrado profissional em Gestão de Unidades de Informação pela UDESC. Pesquisadora responsável do Centro de Memória UNIFEBE

    Doutor em Ciência da Informação pela Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Mestre em Gestão de Unidades de Informação pela Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina e bacharel em Biblioteconomia pela mesma instituição. Professor colaborador do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Gestão da Informação da UDESC e do MBA de Inovação em Unidades de Informação da UFSCar, Presidente (2020-2023) da Federação Brasileira de Associações de Bibliotecários, Cientistas da Informação e Instituições (FEBAB) e membro da International Federation of Library Associations IFLA (Divisão da América Latina e Caribe desde 2015 e Seção Management of Library Associations desde 2020). É editor da Revista Brasileira de Biblioteconomia e Documentação desde 2017.
