The article reconstructs the stages in the process of formulating Gramsci's pedagogical themes in the Prison Notebooks, situating Gramsci's writings in relation to the humanist and emancipatory perspectives of today's world, in which the educational and formative themes of critical thinking clash with new contradictions and unprecedented modes of domination, characterized by increasingly sophisticated and technically advanced forms of molecular regimentation of broad popular masses.
