PARA-BADMINTON TEACHING FOR PHYSICAL DISABILITIES CHILDREN

The aim of this study is to structure a Para-Badminton (PBd) teaching program for physical disabilities children, which helps in motor skills acquisition and favors the sport learning. This is a descriptive research with non-participant observation. As a result, the PBd teaching was structured in four pedagogical axes: 1) wheelchair handling and displacement; 2) exercises and games with shuttlecocks; 3) exercises and games with rackets; and, 4) exercises and games with rackets and shuttlecocks. The conclusion is that the proposed program proved to be adequate to learn PBd for children with physical disability.
