In Brazil, there are many elderly caregivers who have low education, which can impact the performance of some elderly care tasks that require good reading and writing skills. This scenario can leave not only caregivers, but also the elderly in a vulnerable situation. Considering the high use of Communication and Information Technologies by brazilians with low levels of education, a reflection emerges about possibility of using technologies that help caregivers in performing tasks that require good reading and writing skills. Thus, this article aimed to investigate the factors related to low education that can impact elderly care tasks, in order to reflect on their impacts on the national scene and identify recommendations that contribute to the interfaces development aimed at these caregivers. For this, an investigation was carried out with the literature and interviews with relatives of elderly people and caregivers with low education. The results obtained make it possible to broaden the questions about the development of systems or applications aimed at treating the elderly for use by caregivers with low education.
