It proposes a conceptual analysis in order to elucidate the convergent relationship between the activities that are characterized by the scientific, critical and technical practices of Knowledge Organization, Digital Preservation and Digital Curatorship and Memory studies. It aims to discuss issues related to the identification of Knowledge Organization within digital curatorial activities, understanding its possible implications for the preservation and access to institutional and scientific memory, which in turn, from an applied point of view, ultimately requires the existence of a repository for the safeguarding of digital objects. The methodology is classified as the initial materialization of a collective effort based on a deductive method, where we start from the basic characteristics of these activities already listed for the particular that is translated into the perspective of a convergent nature between them and is present through a basic, qualitative and exploratory research from a survey, followed by a debate, of the bibliography. It concludes that it is not possible to think about safeguarding digital objects without also reflecting critically on the criteria used for their description and on the vocabulary that enables their subsequent retrieval. Amidst so many nuances, it is still necessary to think about the proposition of policies that support the construction of a repository focused - not only - on the storage of digital objects, but also on the provision of access and the full management of their life cycle.
