RULES FOR SUBMITTING ARTICLES TO NOVOS RUMOS MAGAZINE

Novos Rumos Magazine publishes original texts in the form of articles, translations, interviews or reviews. Collaborations will be analyzed by the journal's Editorial Committee, which will decide on their publication, submitting them to ad hoc reviewers.
The manuscript, whether in the form of an article or a translation of a text, is submitted to a “blind” examination by two referees. This procedure is only not adopted for essays in thematic issues, when the author, with notorious knowledge and production in relation to the theme, is invited by the editor of the journal to write the text . The referees are, preferably, professors linked to Graduate Programs in Social Sciences. The modifications and/or corrections suggested by the reviewers in terms of wording (clarity of the text, grammar or new spelling standards), or in relation to the content of the contributions, are forwarded to the respective authors, who will have a limited period to make the required changes.
Papers submitted for publication must be sent in a version of word for windows (.docx). They must be edited in Times new Roman font, size 12, spacing 1.5 and an average length of 20 pages (or a maximum of 40,000 characters, with spaces, including footnotes). In the specific case of reviews, they must be sent in the same font and spacing requirements, and must not exceed 8,000 characters.
The text submitted must observe the following sequence: title, name, email address, title and current academic affiliation (if any) of the author (department, institute or faculty, university), abstract (minimum of 100 and maximum of 250 words), words -key (maximum of five items), abstract, key-words, text and bibliography (reference, when works cited in the text, and, optionally, support, consulted or recommended works, but not referenced in the text).
Bibliographical references of quotations used throughout the text must follow ABNT norms in the author-date system (Author's surname, date) or (Author's surname, date: page). Footnotes should only be used for observations of a substantive nature.
Citations with more than four lines must have a new paragraph, same font, size 11, single space, with paragraph indented by 3 cm.
References should appear at the end of the article, organized in alphabetical order (and descending for authors with more than one reference), it should appear as follows:
a) Books:
Last name. Title in italics. Place of publication: name of publisher, date.
b) Articles in collections:
Last name. Article title. In: LAST NAME, Name of Organizer(s). Collection title in italics. Place of publication: publisher name, date, pages.
c) Articles in journals:
Last name. Article title. Journal title in italics, Place of publication: publisher, journal number, date, pages.

The data and concepts issued in the works, as well as the accuracy of the bibliographical references, are the sole responsibility of the authors. Works that do not comply with the above norms will be returned to the authors, indicating the adaptations to be made.
