Abstract

The concept of Gesundheit in the third Critique is a singular topic in the context of this work. Although the term Gesundheit occurs in few passages it covers a relevant aspect of the aesthetic experience, since this is not something that occurs in an external, non-embodied space. On the contrary, Kant unites in this space the intellectual and the physical aspect of that experience, namely in the ? 54, an Observation in the context of the transcendental deduction of the aesthetic judgments. At this point the importance of the concept doesn’t point out to kind of naturalism or even empiricism supporting the aesthetic experience. It must be understood as a vital power that is subjectively felt by the subject himself. This is an organic promotion of a certain kind of experience (the aesthetic one) that Kant see as a kind of unifying space of the multiple forces that express the aesthetic experience.
