Editorial Guidelines
The Journal Estudos Kantianos publishes articles, translations and reviews, always concerning Kantian thought and Kantianism in a broad sense.
Submissions of material can be carried out on the Journa's website or via email sent directly to the journal's editors [<cpek.marilia@unesp.br>] through files [in “word” or “rtf” format] attached to electronic message. The evaluation system adopted by the journal is the so-called “double-blind peer review”. Therefore, submissions must include two documents: a document with the identification of the work and the author (i.e., title of the text, author's name and brief biographical note) and another document, strictly anonymous, containing the text of the article, followed by keywords and abstract.
Papers written in German, Spanish, French, English, Italian and Portuguese will be accepted, which must be typed in “Times New Roman” font in size “12”, with “1.5” spacing and a maximum length of approximately 30 pages. Notes in the text should appear at the end of the text, after the “References”, in size “10” and single-spaced. Citations longer than three lines will be typed in size “11”, with single spacing and left indentation of 4 cm and without quotation marks. When the article is written in Spanish, Italian or Portuguese, the biobibliographic note, abstract and keywords in the original language of the article will be accompanied by such items also translated into English.
Citations and references will comply in all cases with the specific rules of the “Brazilian Association of Technical Standards” [ABNT]; respectively: "ABNT/NBR 10520/2002" and "ABNT/NBR 6023/2018".
Submission Conditions
For the proposal to be accepted, the first step is to verify the submission's compliance with all the items listed below. Authors or co-authors must exclude their names or any references to them from the entire body of the text to be submitted, replacing them with “Author”.
- The original and unpublished contribution must not be evaluated for publication by any other journal.
- At least one of the authors of the submitted article must hold a Master's degree.
- The maximum number of authors per article will be three. Upon justification to the editors, however, an exception to this rule may be allowed for research that exceeds this number of authors.
- All authors or co-authors must be registered with ORCID (https://orcid.org)
- The file to be submitted must have a .DOC extension in A4 format sheet.
- The article must have a maximum length of 45,000 characters with spaces [including references]. Upon justification to the editors, however, an exception to this rule may be allowed.
- Top and left margin of 3 cm; bottom and right margin of 2.5 cm.
- The file must contain: title, abstract, keywords, body of the text, references and a small biobibliographic note. When the submitted material is not in English, the title, abstract, keywords and biobibliographic note of the same must be, in addition to the language in which the contribution was originally written, also in English.
- Words in a foreign language must be written in italics.
- Text title and subtitle: “Times New Roman” font, size 14, uppercase, centered alignment, 1.5 line spacing.
Submissions that do not comply with the above rules will be returned to the authors.
All submissions must meet the following requirements.
