About the Journal

Electronic journal Estudos Kantianos [EK], biannual publication of the Center for Research and Kantian Studies "Valerio Rohden" [CPEK], linked to the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Sciences [FFC] of the São Paulo State University – UNESP,  Marilia Campus. Peer review: proposals for the publication of articles, translations and reviews sent to Kantian Studies are examined by the peer review system. Each proposal is separately considered by at least two specialists in the subject area of the material in question, Brazilian or foreign, who cannot have, nor have had any formal ties to the author or authors of the same. These specialists issue opinions on the merits of the proposals forwarded to them, doing so in the capacity of ad hoc advisors. Issued and forwarded to the journal, such opinions are examined by the Editorial Committee and the Responsible Editors of the journal, and then sent to the author or authors of the material under analysis.

Evaluation Criteria: articles and reviews sent to Estudos Kantianos must be written in German, Spanish, French, English, Italian or Portuguese. The linguistic correction of the material sent to the journal is the sole responsibility of the author or authors of the same. It is expected that the submission of articles, translations and reviews to Kantian Studies is not simultaneously accompanied by the submission of the same material to other journals. Articles, translations and reviews will not necessarily be limited to the philosophical thought of Immanuel Kant, but may include other authors—previous, contemporary, or later to the Königsberg philosopher—whose work, or part of it, has special relevance for understanding and development. of all or part of transcendental philosophy. Interpretive originality is required, as well as rigorous attention to secondary literature on the subject addressed.
