Resumo: o objetivo do artigo é discutir sobre a formação inicial do(a) professor(a) de educação física face à inclusão de crianças com Transtorno do
Espectro Autista, a partir da legislação e dos currículos dos cursos de licenciatura. As discussões em pauta são resultantes de incursões na literatura
especializada e das reflexões tecidas no âmbito da pesquisa documental desenvolvida de outubro de 2021 a junho de 2023, intitulada: “O lugar da
educação inclusiva nos currículos dos cursos de licenciatura da UERN”. Neste escrito, de modo particular, o material de análise são as ementas dos
componentes curriculares da área, nomeadamente: Educação Física para Pessoas com Necessidades Educativas Especiais, Educação Física Adaptada e
Educação Física Inclusiva, presentes nas matrizes curriculares dos cursos em estudo. Da análise das ementas, sobressai como aspecto positivo a presença de
conteúdos relacionados às políticas educacionais e aos aspectos legais em que se assenta a educação especial numa perspectiva inclusiva. Sob outro ângulo,
algumas fragilidades podem ser inventariadas, como, por exemplo, a presença de um vocabulário com forte influência do modelo médico de compreensão
da deficiência e a ausência de conteúdos mais específicos sobre o esporte adaptado e os jogos paralímpicos, além de questões relacionadas aos recursos,
suportes, apoios e Tecnologia Assistiva, Comunicação Aumentativa e Alternativa, com vistas a subsidiar o acesso e a participação dos(as) estudantes com
Transtorno do Espectro Autista nas atividades corporais, esportivas e de lazer.

Abstract: the objective of the article is to discuss the initial training of physical education teachers regarding the inclusion of children with Autism
Spectrum Disorder, based on legislation and the undergraduate course curriculum. e discussions on the agenda are the result of incursions into
specialized literature and the reflections made on the context of documental research carried out from October 2021 to June 2022, entitled: “e place
of inclusive education in the curricula of undergraduate courses at UERN”. In this work, particularly, the analysis material is the course description of
the area, namely: Physical Education for people with special educational needs, Adapted Physical Education, and Inclusive Physical Education, present
on the Course Curriculum at issue. From the analysis of the course description, the presence of content related to educational policies and legal aspects
on which special education is based on, an inclusive perspective stands out as a positive aspect. From another angle, some weaknesses can be pointed out,
such as the presence of a vocabulary with a strong influence of the medical model of understanding disability and the absence of more specific content
on adapted sports and the Paralympic Games, as well as related issues. to resources, supports and Assistive Technologies/Augmentative and Alternative
Communication, with a view to subsidizing the access and participation of students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in body, sports and leisure activities.
