Resumo

Organizations while seeking to establish higher standards of performance and sustainable competitive advantage have been stimulating a critical reflection about the factors that affect the performance of the individual and of the organizations. Knowledge became one of the main organizational competitive factors and knowledge management could contribute as a enhancer of organizational results. This paper aims to demonstrate the importance os knowledge management practices as a promoter of sustainable competitive advantage, considering its influence in the organizational context. For this, this theoretical paper has realized a brief literature revision in the knowledge management and sustainable competitive advantage fields, presenting concepts and approaches, in order to understand the interaction of these constructs with competence and innovations constructs. The results signalized that the comprehension of the relations between competences and innovation, anchored by knowledge management, is the assurance of the adequate conduction of the mechanisms through the competitive advantage could be sustained. For demonstrating this, it was proposer a systematized model to knowledge management and competitive advantage, structured with competence and innovation constructs. .

He has a Masters in Administration - Research Area: Strategy and Competitiveness - Faculty of Administrative Studies of Minas Gerias - FEAD (2008); MBA in Logistics from the University Center of Management Sciences - UMA (2004); MBA in Finance from the University Center of Management Sciences - UMA (2004); MBA in Management of Institutions by Pitágoras Graduate Nucleus (2011), Specialization in Production Administration by Institute of Technological Education - IETEC (1997); Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University Center Newton Paiva (1991). Executive Director of JNR Training. He has built his trajectory with 27 years of experience as a Manager in the areas of Administration, Production Control Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Shipping, Supplies in some national and multinational companies (Jabil do Brasil, Itambé, ABC Data, Condor Equipamentos Industriais) branches of diverse activities (Electro-electronics, Dairy and Metallurgy). In Higher Education, she has a solid 13 years experience as a Campus Director, Postgraduate and Undergraduate Coordinator and University Professor at several Higher Education Institutions (FUMEC, Kroton, SENAC, Newton Paiva, Pitágoras, PUC, UNIPAC). MARCO ANTÔNIO CALIJORNE SOARES, University FUMEC

He holds a degree in Computer Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (2004) and an International MBA in Project Management from the Getúlio Vargas Foundation / Ohio University (2014). Has experience in the area of Computer Science, with emphasis on IT project management and Business Intelligence.

Paulo Henrique Jurza Abranches, University FUMEC

He holds a bachelor's degree in Data Processing Technology - Unicentro Newton Paiva (1993), a graduate degree in Nursing from the José do Rosário Vellano University (2009) and a Master's Degree in Spatial Information Processing from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (2003). He is currently a planning and management analyst at the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics Foundation. Doctorate in Information Systems and Knowledge Management, at FUMEC University, developing research on Mortality, specifically in the northeast macro-region of health of the state of Minas Gerais. He holds a Master's degree in Public Administration - Information Management from the School of Government - João Pinheiro Foundation (2005), Specialization in Technology Management at the Estácio de Sá University (2001) and Graduation in Administration with Qualification Systems Analysis at the University Center of Espírito Santo 1999). He is currently Adjunct Professor I of the Post-Graduate Program in Information Systems and Knowledge Management at FUMEC University. Visiting Professor of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Program at FDC. Executive Director of TECINOVA Soluções Corporativas LTDA. He has fourteen years of experience in training professionals and executives in different business areas. He works mainly in the areas of Knowledge Management and Information; Innovation; Collaboration and Learning Networks; Transfer of Technology and Knowledge and Strategy and Organizational Structure.
